Bring It

I got a wonderful compliment this past week.  I was conducting a cardio fitness class and at the end one participant said, “Robin you always bring it.”  Those words felt good to hear because I put a lot of effort and time into making my classes, workshops, group presentations as well as one-on-one meetings fun, meaningful, and thoughtful.  It’s important for others to get more out of the time spent with me than just showing up.

My question to you is – Are you bringing it?  Are you putting effort into your everyday living?  Are you striving to be your best in your personal and professional life?

Let’s start with how you begin your mornings.  Do you dread getting out of bed?  A shift in mindset may help set the attitude for the day.  Be mindful of your thoughts and outlook on each day.  Think how you can make the best day possible.  Some days will be a struggle but if you set your thoughts to a more positive outlook, you will feel different and see small changes by day end.  Try creating a habit of positive thoughts before you get out of bed in the morning.  At the end of each day do a recap on what went well.

Is your life full of clutter?  Too much clutter can hinder you from achieving your best.  Physical clutter is a factor, but I am speaking more of mental clutter.  Examples include worries and distractions.  Use your time wisely and each day set aside moments to clear your head of clutter to focus on what’s significant.  If you have distractions getting in the way write a quick list of what they are and then put it aside.  You may find this action can help you move on and work on what is currently important.

Find positive inspiration.  Read, listen and watch optimistic and uplifting articles and programs. Guard yourself from negative influences.  Feed your spirit and learn more on how to manifest a more confident, happy and thoughtful life. The opportunities abound from educational workshops, website blogs, and other types of group interest.

Share your joy.  What do you find enjoyable in your life?  What is your passion?   Are you creative, philosophical or can share experiences that will help others? When you share with others, you are not only helping them but you.  The satisfaction and joy of sharing with others is huge.

Switch up your day.  Drive a different route to work.  Have lunch in a different location.  Go for a walk.  Look for opportunities to meet new friends.  Put yourself out there to learn.

You may find that opening yourself up to a new mindset and different experiences will change your attitude. Before you know it, you will “Bring It” to all the people in your life.

“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ‘Til your good is better and your better is best.” -St. Jerome
